We excited to welcome Ashley as one of our summer interns!
A child of immigrant parents, Ashley is an ambitious and high-spirited woman that enjoys partaking in volunteerism and relief work. Ashley’s passion for issues regarding health and society began during her time living abroad in Cambodia during her first two years of high school. Exposed to clear-cut health and socioeconomic inequalities, as well as a wide range of cultures, Ashley knew she wanted to help disadvantaged populations.
With her goal set, she is now studying Public Health and Nutrition, entering her final year at Simmons University. Having a competent understanding of African countries, she is eager to learn more about Uganda and its culture. Ashley is excited to bring her knowledge and passion for international healthcare and overcoming inequalities to her summer internship at THRIVEGulu.
