We originally came together in this group to share our common problems and talk about possible solutions. We decided we wanted to start a savings and loan group that would help us in paying school fees, medical expenses, and covering emergency family costs. We now plan to start a group business raising chickens for sale. We would also like to plant trees as a longer-term investment.
I lost my adult daughter in 2009. She left 3 children behind, and their father was not around to take care of them. So I welcomed my grandchildren into my home. My husband struggles to earn money, but I have been saving to support my grandchildren and to keep them in school. I want to be able to provide them with the means for a successful future.
