Please welcome two new Women’s Empowerment Groups. Celebrate the move with us and see the scope of secure THRIVE space waiting development.
Women’s Empowerment Groups
A new women group was formed during April and our project officer Lucy continued to work to identify yet another group to be enrolled in our programme. The new group is God Mercy (Rubanga) Women Group located in Orubu village of Layibi Techo. It has 25 members. New group formation involves identification of the beneficiaries, group formation and naming, and the writing of their constitution. All the other steps and trainings will follow with an aim to achieve effective leadership, thriving, and then self-sufficiency.
Congratulations to the God Mercy group!
New THRIVEGulu Centre
We have moved into our permanent trauma healing and reflection centre in Layibi Techo. Of course nothing comes on a silver plate; struggles here and there with the constructors to finalize their work, the fear of moving to start life in a new place, and all the related phobias had to be overcome.

April has been a very good month for THRIVE, full of work, frustrations, and blessings as we work to welcome our mid-year visitors.
