In loving memory of

James Coleman

James Robert Coleman—known affectionately as "Papa Jim" both at home in Watertown, MA, as well as his home-away-from-home in Gulu—was an extraordinary man with an incredible spirit.

In 2010, after retiring from an already remarkable career, he helped found THRIVEGulu with Judy Dushku, his beloved wife. Together, they made an unforgettable impact on every life they touched in Gulu.

After a long battle with cancer, Jim died peacefully at home in Watertown on October 31, 2013, surrounded by family and friends.

Jim wanted THRIVEGulu to be a lasting legacy for him. To help fulfill his wishes, instead of sending flowers in Jim's memory, please donate to this place he helped build and that he always wanted to see grow stronger. Jim would be grateful.
